Members not Present: Kathy Seibert, Sherry Goubeaux, Abby Blake, Pam Yoder,
Becky Ruf will no longer serve on Tech Team. Lauren has emailed Pam regarding an appropriate replacement.
1. Quick Hardware/Software Update
Projectors (K/5) and PTO fundraising
Grade 5 and K projectors are in the building (waiting for install); borrowed carts on the way from Jones
PTO would like to host a tech open house in November
Idea: Bobcat Tech Trek? Kids walk in PE and get sponsors for laps walked
1st week of November—fundraising flier to go home summarizing upcoming fund raising efforts
Shelly suggested PTO fundraising update during next staff meeting Lauren to talk to Pam to arrange this.
• Number of computers on carts and in the lab compared with class size Jeff Collett will be at Barrington tomorrow to assess the situation and to suggest solutions.
• Speakers for projector carts Tech Team allocated EIS and Tech PTO mini-grant funds to purchase 5 anchor speakers last spring (April 2008). Lauren will ask Jeff C. about the whereabouts of these speakers. Jeff ordered the speakers in coordination with Beth Markwood last spring.
Need to order smaller speakers that can plug into computer. Anchor speakers do not have the proper size connection.

• Tech Team Member-to-Staff Contact List
• BTC Survey/ iBarr Offerings – suggestions/comments To be distributed with the Tech Team contact list via email. To be put out November 7, due November 14.
• Tech Coaches (How to access)
• Choose 1 standard to focus on (i.e. – Technology and Society Interaction) and help teachers integrate/identify ways they integrate already Martha will amend tech planning form to reflect 21s Century Skill of Communication and Collaboration
• Kids Voting
3. Housekeeping
• New computer lab schedule update
• New mobile lab check out
• 2 teacher laptops (best way to share with staff?) Megan Dooley currently borrowing one laptop to facilitate teacher planning and parent communication. Tech Team recommends that laptops be added to laptop cart. Lauren to issue virtual tech team vote on this topic.
